At FlippyTales, we want the experience of choosing art for your child's room to feel calm and trustworthy — and that includes how we handle your information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is published in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and applicable rules.

FlippyTales is a brand operated by Soulvalley Global LLP ("FlippyTales," "we," "us," "our"), the entity responsible for your personal data on this website.

1. Information we collect

• Details you give us: name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address when you place an order or contact us.

• Order information: the products you buy, order value, and order history.

• Personalisation details: for personalised prints, the name (often a child's name) you ask us to feature. This is provided by you, the adult account holder, and is used only to produce your item.

• Payment information: payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI credentials — these go directly to Razorpay's secure systems.

• Technical & usage data: device and browser information, IP address, and how you use the site, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 6).

• Communications: messages you send us by email, the contact form, or social channels.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, including personalised items;

• take payment through Razorpay and issue refunds where applicable;

• provide customer support and respond to your queries;

• send order and shipping updates;

• send marketing or offers only where you have consented, which you can withdraw at any time;

• improve our website, products, and service; and

• meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

3. Our lawful basis

We process your personal data based on your consent (given when you place an order, subscribe, or contact us) and for the legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as fulfilling a transaction you have asked us to complete. You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 8); withdrawing it will not affect processing already carried out.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with parties that help us run FlippyTales:

• Razorpay — to process payments securely.

• Logistics & courier partners — to deliver your order (they receive your name, address, and phone number).

• Wix — our website and hosting platform.

• Analytics & advertising partners (e.g. Google, Meta) — for site analytics and measuring our campaigns, where enabled.

• Authorities or advisors — where required by law, or to our professional advisors under confidentiality.

5. Personalisation & children's data

Our products are made for children, but our customers are adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from anyone under 18. Where you provide a child's name for a personalised print, you do so as the adult purchaser, and we use that name solely to manufacture your item. We do not use children's names for tracking, profiling, or targeted advertising.

6. Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your cart, understand usage, and measure marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site works.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — to fulfil your order, support you, and meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements — after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;

• request correction, completion, updating, or erasure of your personal data;

• withdraw your consent at any time;

• nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and

• raise a grievance with us (see Section 11).

9. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. Payments are handled by Razorpay over secure, encrypted connections. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
